The beauty of art. The grace of ballet. The power of live music. All take center stage in an extraordinary concert inspired by the theater. Featuring images from the Museum of Fine Arts’ new “Art of the Stage” exhibit, original paintings by TFO’s Visual Artist-in-Residence Geff Strik, dancers from the Tampa City Ballet, and vocalists. Michael Francis conducts Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3 with Gilles Vonsattel, Rimsky-Korsakov’s Golden Cockerel, and Stravinsky’s Pulcinella. In addition, Garcia's the impending silence, commissioned by The Florida Orchestra and the School of Music at Florida International University.
