Gideon Klein: Partita for Strings
Brahms: Violin Concerto
Dvorak: Symphony No. 8

Brahms’ demanding Violin Concerto is a kaleidoscope of drama, beauty and thrills in the hands of returning violinist Stefan Jackiw. Dvorak’s Symphony No. 8, too often overshadowed by his great New World Symphony, offers a bucolic refuge of joy and harmony. Rounding out the program is Partita for Strings by Gideon Klein, whose creative voice rose from the darkness of the Theresienstadt concentration camp during World War II.  Please note, there has been a conductor change for this program. Stefan Asbury conducts.
